Introducing Me — a private diary you can talk to
Why we built Me
Most of what matters in a day never gets written down. Typing a diary feels like homework, so the walk, the worry, the half-formed idea and the promise you made to yourself all slip away.
Talking is easy. So we built Me: a private, voice-first diary for iPhone. You say it as it is, for as long as you like, and Me helps you keep it.
How it works
- Tap the mic, or just ask Siri, and talk naturally. There's no time limit.
- Your words are transcribed on your iPhone. Me never records or keeps audio.
- Me's AI sorts what you said into separate, editable proposals. "I meditated for 20 minutes, walked for 35, and I feel calmer" becomes two activities and a feeling.
- You review everything, fix anything, and tap save. Nothing enters your diary until you confirm it.
Over time, Me becomes more than a diary. Insights shows where your time goes by day, week and month. Workbench keeps the tasks you mentioned, with deadlines and priorities, separate from the ideas you're still shaping. Explore lets you search everything you've said, and ask questions like "How was my week?" with every answer linked back to your own entries.
Private by design
- No account to create. Your diary syncs through your own private iCloud.
- Search stays on your device. Searching your diary happens entirely on your iPhone.
- You choose what the AI sees. Before Me answers a question about your week, it shows you exactly which entries it will use, and you can leave any of them out.
- Your words aren't training data. AI requests go through our own small server and are routed only to providers that don't retain or train on what you say.
What's new today
Today's update is about getting to Me faster and never losing a thought on the way.
- Capture from anywhere. Say "Capture a thought in Me" to Siri, or open Me from the Action Button, Back Tap, a Lock Screen or Home Screen widget, or Control Center. Every tab now has a mic button too.
- Your words are safe. If you get interrupted, switch apps, or cancel by accident, Me keeps your unsaved words on your phone so you can resume or discard them later. Only text is kept, never audio.
- Faster review. Me starts drafting as soon as you stop talking. Proposals appear as simple cards, with anything Me was unsure about shown first so you can tap Looks right or Fix it. A pinned Save to diary button saves everything at once.
- A new AI engine. Me now runs on DeepSeek V4.1 Flash through OpenRouter, with privacy-first routing on every request.
What's next
Me is in development and on its way to a TestFlight beta. Next up: optional reminders for tasks with deadlines, a privacy and settings screen, data export, and a full accessibility pass. A Mac version that shares your diary is also in progress.
You can read more about Me on its product page. If you'd like to try the beta when it opens, get in touch.
